If those words mean nothing to you, don’t worry. What I’m wanting to communicate is that I have rigorously studied several different theoretical approaches, and have worked hard to integrate components of certain theories and interventions that fit my worldview, personality, and therapy style.
I find it immensely important to understand each client’s history, current context, and worldview in order to determine appropriate therapy interventions. Most of my interventions focus on helping clients have corrective emotional experiences, and corrective interpersonal experiences, with me in session. Then we work on extrapolating those corrective experiences to their broader world outside of therapy.
